Who Are We?
An independent gathering of like-minded Christians, who trust in the finished work of Christ for our salvation, sanctification, and glorification.
We are an Independent Bible church, with no denominational or associational ties.
WHAT IS OUR BACKGROUND AND HISTORY?
We began as a Bible study group in December, 1983, and soon decided to meet on Sunday mornings by February, 1984, calling ourselves Bible Believers Fellowship.
We moved from a rented school in Burlington to the historic old chapel in East Litchfield, and began calling ourselves: Litchfield Hills Bible Church.
In June, 2001, we purchased a facility in Winchester on Chapel Road. We sold our building in Mid-2012, and are now located in Torrington, CT, at 379 Goshen Road (Route 4).
WHO HAVE BEEN OUR PASTORS?
Our founding Pastor-Teacher, Rev. William J. Allen, has been with us from 1983 to today.
We are a fellowship based on the concept of Elder rule, with several Elders besides the Pastor having responsibility for the spiritual and physical needs of the fellowship.
See the individual pages for more information about the Pastor, Elders, philosophy of ministry, and our basic beliefs.
